This Privacy Policy explains how Orbit (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Orbit passenger app, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

We collect the following categories of information when you use the Orbit passenger app:

When you create an Orbit account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, password, and optional profile photo to identify you and manage your account.

We may verify your identity through SMS verification codes or photo ID upload to prevent fraud and ensure safety.

c. Communications

We collect information from your communications through the app (chat, calls, or support messages). We may store call metadata and message content for security and dispute resolution.

d. Location Data

We collect real-time and historical GPS data while you use the Services to enable ride matching, calculate fares, issue receipts, and ensure safety.

e. Trip Information

We collect data related to each trip, including pickup and drop-off locations, route, timestamps, distance, duration, fare, and payment details.

f. Payment & Transaction Data

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”). Orbit does not store full card numbers or sensitive payment credentials. We retain transaction IDs, billing amounts, and limited payment metadata for accounting and compliance.

g. Ratings and Feedback

We collect ratings, reviews, and feedback that you provide regarding your ride experience. These may be linked to your account and used for service quality and compliance monitoring.

h. Device and Technical Information

We automatically collect device information (IP address, operating system, app version, device ID, crash logs, and diagnostic data) for fraud detection, troubleshooting, and analytics.

i. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Orbit and its analytics providers use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to track app and website activity, analyze usage, and deliver optional marketing or performance insights.

j. Contacts and Calendar Access

With your permission, Orbit may access your contacts or calendar to help schedule rides or share trip details. You may disable this access at any time in your device settings.

k. Third-Party Integrations

Orbit integrates with trusted partners such as Google Maps (for navigation, traffic, and location data) and other operational tools. These integrations only receive data necessary to perform their functions.
